Portage Central forward Matt Ragains, who will be a junior next year, was selected to represent Michigan in the 2008 Chowder Cup, held in Boston starting on the 24th. The tournament is a showcase, especially for players who are interested in playing hockey "out east" after high school. Last year, the tournament drew 125 junior, college, prep and NHL scouts, according to an email from one of the Michigan coaches.
