Wyandotte 6 Big Rapids 3

Big Rapids spotted the third ranked team in division 2 hockey a quick 3 goal advantage in the first period but fought back to be down 3-2 at the period break on goals by Bill Clark and Paul Goggins . Clark's goal came unassisted while Brandon Madaj and Jordan Defever assisted on the Goggin's goal. Big Rapids kept the pressure on late in the first period with some nice defensive efforts and was rewarded which kept the came close at the period break. In the second, Wyandotte again stretched their lead to 2 goals early in the period but the Cardinals answered soon after on a goal by Mike Hickson with the assist's coming from Tom Hancock and Bill Clark. After two periods, Wyandotte had the advantage with the score being 4 to 3. The third period was a back and forth battle with Wyandotte scoring twice in the third period, the last comng on an empty net goal with about one minute to play. Butterfiled was in net for the Cardinals and made 28 saves on the night.
