West Catholic scored three goals in a span of 1:03 during the second period to bust open a 1-1 tie at Griff's. The Falcons got on the board first with an unassisted goal from Nick Woronko three minutes into the game's first period. Northview's Steve Harwood tied the game at 10:11 of the second period, assisted by Matt Castle, with the goal coming seconds after N'view had killed off a penalty.
Unfortunately, Northview's next trip to the box did not end up so well. With the Wildcats' Sean Auch off for a tripping penalty, the Falcons' Chris Gietzen capitalized with a PP goal on a beautiful feed from below the goal line from Woronko. Just 41 seconds later, West Catholic's Tyler Nawrocki lit the lamp (assist to Mike Judy), and then 22 seconds after that, Mike Judy scored on a breakaway, assists to Erik Judy and Greg O'Hearn.
The Falcons added two more in the third, with goals from Nick Norder (Woronko , Michael Davey assists) and Matt Buitendyke (Matt Coulson assist). Spencer Boorsma picked up the win between the pipes for West Catholic. Northview's goalie Kyle Schutte had 42 saves in the loss.
