Hickson Selected for National Selects

Big Rapids center Mike Hickson was selected at the regional, state, and now will attend the 2008 national Selects camp in New York this summer. The sophomore played mostly house hockey growing up, but has been on the Cardinals high school squad since his freshman year. He's reportedly been skating with the Little Caesar's Midget Major team this spring, and has also been skating with his cousin, Rick Pinkston, a senior defenseman who was recently picked in the 4th round of the USHL draft by the Tri-City Storm. A very reliable source tells the Blogger that Hickson will stay at Big Rapids to finish his high school career.
