Manistee rolled into the Lakeshore Sports Center for the second game with MCC in a week. The tandem of Joey Tomczyk from Dan Peterson scored two goals in the opening stanza to give Manistee the opening edge, but the Crusaders answered with three consecutive goals (Jared Panozzo from Noah VanBergen and Evan Valk; Steve Westerberg from Panozzo; and Chris Kendro from Kyle Kampenga and Westerberg) give MCC the first period lead. MCC added another in the second period (Kampenga from Erin Cutter) to close the scoring. The MCC defense held off five Manistee power plays in the third period to preserve the 4-2 score. Luke Kordecki was victorious in net for MCC, which led in SOG 29-16. MCC faces local foe Reeths Puffer on Saturday for their final regular season game.
