Regular readers of the Blog may know about my coffee jones. As a service to Blog readers, I wanted to let you know that Biggby's (which used to be called Beaners) is offering free java at its Grand Rapids locations tonight. Seems that the guys based in Seattle (ie, Starbucks) are closing their stores for three hours of training tonight from 5:30-8:30 p.m., so East Lansing-based Biggby's is making sure you can your fix. Here's a story that was in the GR Press, and I just confirmed this with a friend of mine who does PR for the chain. BTW, there's a new Biggby at the corner of Leonard and Fuller, not far from Griff's Icehouse -- a convenient stop on my way to see GRCC tonight!

Not an ad sale. Just a freebie for loyal Blog readers on the way to the rink. Besides, I'm a fan of local coffee chains, not the behemoths in the Pacific NW.
