The always excellent OK Hockey website has added a new feature: rankings. The webmaster has ranked the OK teams according to their ranking on the USHSO website, which saves us the trouble of having to wade through the entire listing. BTW, thanks to the OK Hockey site for a link to the Blog.

With the elimination of the City League for next season and the OK Conference picking them up, how will the City League teams be split into the OK Conference? My assumption would be GRCC goes D-1, West Catholic and Christian go D-2, and the Ottawa/Union and Central/Crestion go D-3.
However, strange things happen with mergers like this. Anyone know anything?
This decision will not be made til the end of the hockey season per the OK Conference committee. There has been little discussion and I am sure the hockey committee, which consist of current O.K. coaches and ADs along with incoming coaches and ADs, will have a lot of input on this.
At least let's hope the incoming coaches and ADs are provided a platform for input.
Don't forget that this is the first time that the O.K. conference has brought in hockey programs that are NOT new programs so they are breaking new ground. Prior teams have been new start-up hockey programs (Lowell, Wayland, etc) where the default has been to put them into Tier 3 and have them play their way into Tier 2 then to potentially Tier 1. So the O.K. is really going to have to make sure they're being objective politics aside.
