Lowell/Caledonia 5 Muskegon Catholic Central 3

Special teams were key as Lowell/Caledonia defeated Muskegon Catholic Central 5-3 on the strength of its power play. L/C scored 4 of 5 goals with the man advantage, including three by Justin Story. L/C's Jon Kuzava had three assist in the game. Overall, this was a very aggressive game by both teams with MCC out shooting L/C 26 to 18 in a hard hitting affair. L/C junior goaltender Corey Phillips was on top of his game making multiple key saves to earn the victory in the nets. The game was close for two periods, but L/C came on strong in the third with emotion playing for injured Senior Captain Andrew Kuhn who left the game in the second period with a broken fibula. (Thanks to photog Sara Kuzava for the action pic shown above.)

does anybody know why MCC is still ranked above L/C? L/C has beat them twice this season, and has a better record. It seams Lo/Cal never moves up, but only moves down. But they keep winning. Dosen't that seam odd to anybody else?

i give livonia credit. they were a descent team. howevr i didnt see any standouts. no one really hit. i watched them just get hit. on the other hand. a couple players made some good plays. but realisticly mcc would have won if they stayd outta the box. they beat livonia 5 on 5 every game.
