Big Rapids traveled north to Kalkaska to face the TC Reps and came home with a 3 to 2 victory. The TC Bay Reps got on the board first with a power play goal from Andrew Zelinski, with the assist going to Daniel Tinkle. Big Rapids' Billy Clark answered at the 10:30 mark with a 5 on 5 goal, with the assist going to Tom Hancock. After one period of play the score was tied 1 to 1. In the 2nd period, Big Rapids scored early to take a 2 to 1 lead on a Jordan Defever goal with Hancock again gaining the assist. TC answered at the 7:00 minute mark on another power play goal, this time it was unassisted from TCBR's Daniel Tinkle.
The 2nd period played out with each team gaining 8 shots during the period. The third period was dominated by Cardinal shots on TCBR's goaltender Cody Lindhorst, whom came up big with several key saves and kept his team in the game until Billy Clark got his 2nd goal of the night and the game winner at the 1:59 mark on Hancock's third assist of the night. The Reps continued to battle late, but Big Rapids came away with the 3 to 2 win. Eric Saum got the win in the nets.
