South Christian gave Lowell/Caledonia a run for the money in the upset bid playing a disciplined system. After a scorelees first L/C scored on two power play goals, the first by Drake Chittenden assisted by Jon Kuzava and Jorden Steger, the second in a role reversal was Steger scoring from Kuzava and Chittenden. South did not let it rest, though, and scored less than a minute later to make it 2-1 at the 10:08 mark of the second. The score stayed that way until L/C's Tim Kelly scored an empty netter from his own goal line at the 14:44 mark of the third period to finish the scoring for an L/C 3-1 victory. Greg Kortman played strong in the net for South Christian and Corey Phillips netted the win for L/C.
