In the Championship game of the Kalamazoo Blades Tournament Lowell/Caledonia faced Auburn Hills Avondale in a rematch of a first round game of L/C's Christmas Tournament in which AHA won 9-2. Down 3-0 After two periods L/C put on the charge in the third out shooting AHA 13-2 in third but came up short 3-2 as AHA's goaltender Dominic Franca stood tall in the net for the victory as L/C out shot AHA 33-18 for the game.
