Kenowa Hills vs. Hudsonville (7 p.m. @ Walker) - My "one to watch" pits these two OK-2 contenders. Kenowa Hills' Knights are 2-1 overall (1-0 in conference) with wins over Jenison and a split at the Alpena Showcase. Hudsonville' Eagles are 5-0 for the young season, including wins over Portage Northern, Holt and West Ottawa. H'ville also won its own Thanksgiving Tournament with wins over Muskegon Catholic Central and Ann Arbor-Huron. (See Advance stories here and here.) Both teams ride the backs of established goaltenders, who differ in stature but share a penchant for stealing games. The Knights have the diminutive Zac "Fuzzy" Smith, who was honorable mention all-state last year, while the Eagles start massive Pete Herman, who was an all-conference selection last year. In the offensive zone, look for Kenowa Hills forwards Vinnie Klein and Eric Dye, while the Eagles counter with all-stater Alex Host and senior captain Trent Vandermolen. The difference in this one may be Hudsonville's speedy, skilled defense, anchored by senior captain Jaron Grzegorczyk.
