Got an update from a hockey mom who I'd vote for as VP: Patty Alexander, whose son Eric played for East Kentwood and will soon be suiting up as a Ferris State Bulldog. Patty writes: "Just a couple updates for you on West Michigan Alums. First of all, Ben Dykstra is playing for the Davenport University D2 ACHA team and is having quite a season. Ben decided to play for Davenport making it four EK players on the team with Adam Thomas, Kenny Jacobs, and Jeremy Bultema. I have gone to a couple games and it's exciting hockey that is a very competitive level."
Patty also notes that Jeff Anonick (Mona Shores) and Erik Hoffman (Portage Central) are playing for Grand Valley State's DII team. And that there are a bunch of West Michigan high school hockey players who'll be logging ice for Davenport's D-3 team, including:

Finally, we would be remiss to leave out former EK Falcon and WMHSH Blog poster boy (he of the goal-preventing uncalled hooking penalty seen on our masthead above) Ben Grover, who is guarding the blueline for Lansing Community College's D3 club team. Congrats to all.

glendening is playin at michigan, he's number 23 starting most of the games this year, and is a stron player of the powerplay from what i've seen
