Team Michigan is an undefeated 1-0-2 (4 points) after the first three games over at the Chicago Showcase with a win over Missouri and a couple of ties against Wisconsin and Northern New England. The two West Michigan players on the roster have contributed, with GRCC forward Clayton Brackett picking up two assists and Cougar netminder Adam Janecyk in the nets for both ties. In the first game, Team Michigan dug itself a 3-1 hole after two periods but rallied behind Janny to earn the tie. In the game against undefeated Wisconsin last night, Janny had 27 saves to preserve the 2-2 tie. Michigan's "Mr. Hockey" (ie, Josh Miller of Trenton) is among the pool leaders in scoring with 4 goals and 2 assists in three games. For complete stats and coverage click here. Rumor is that the top 5 teams in the pool play in the quarters, and TM is playing against Northern New England again in the quarters this morning.
