South Christian JV Player Killed in Crash

The West Michigan hockey community lost a young high school player yesterday in the car crash down in Caledonia. 16-year-old Nikkolas Carmean was one of the two kids killed in the two-vehicle crash that happened down on 68th Street. Carmean was a sophomore at Thornapple Kellogg High School, and he played junior varsity hockey with the South Christian Hockey Association last year. There is a story on MLIVE here. The Blog offers its condolences to the Carmean family and Nikkolas' friends and teammates. Please feel free to post a comment.

WM hockey is a small world & eventually we all get to know each other. I did not know Nick or his family-my son probably does. No family should lose a child. It has happened to other WM hocky players or family members in past years. Nick's family-please know we care, will remember your loss & know you will focus on all the special things about Nick now & forever.
