Trenton 7 FHNE 3

Forest Hills Northern/Eastern made a good showing in its first trip to the MHSAA Division 2 Final Four. They kept it close with the top team in the state for 2.5 periods before falling 7-3 in the semifinal game played at Compuware. There's a story in the Grand Rapids Press this morning. Congratulations to the FHNE team, especially its very talented senior class, on making it to Compuware for the first time in the program's history. The pictures above and below are by a future FHNE hockey star and a budding photography star, 12-year old Connor Sullivan.

Great pictures of the experience. Good job catching the controversial goal!! I was listening to the game on line and the announcers were both stunned that the refs allowed that goal. Now I know why. That was a back breaker. Great Season FHN/E. You should be proud of yourselves.

Nice work Connor. The picture of the team huddle in the tunnel between the periods captures the essence of what this team was all about. Two schools that are rivals in football, basketball and baseball come together to play the greatest game on earth. Thanks to the blogger for making this possible!!!
