On senior night, Grandville welcomed the visitors from FHNE. Early in the 1st period Grandville capitalized on a delayed penalty call with Ian Straayer scoring the 1st of his 2 goals on the night. The ice soon tilted toward the Grandville net with FHNE peppering Grandville goalie Ryan Wysocki with shot after shot. The score remained 1-0 until early in the 3rd when Straayer scored his 2nd of the game.
Things looked good for Grandville until the final 4 minutes of the game. After a goal mouth altercation with punches being thrown, helmets flying off and sticks laying everywhere Grandville was assessed the lone major penalty. Grandville soon took another penalty and FHNE capitalized. Andrew Rennaker scored on a 5-3 Power-play. With less than 1 minute remaining in the game Granville found themselves down another man. With the goalie pulled Jake Sedelbauer for FHNE buries a shot and we head to overtime. The teams traded scoring chances and penalties with both goalies playing tough. Final score 2-2. Grandville goalie Ryan Wysocki stops 37 shots and FHNE goalie Sean Winks finishes with 18 saves.

Great game Grandville! Especially great since "you can't compete with anyone in Tier 1."
Gville in a tie is great!!! A tie with the win/loss record is not enough in any tier. I commend efforts & heart shown by Gville players tonight.
The shots were 43-15 not 39-20 in favor of FHN/E. Also Grandville had 3 shots after first two periods.
rarely does the shot total from the scorekeeper and the team stat guy match. Hard to do shots on goal from ice level and 100 ft from net.
Why is FHN/E so caught up in soht on net? I believe goals are more important.
Always disputes about shots in net. Not from Gville and hats off for the guts, effort & determination put out by their goalie Ryan W. every game. Few other goalies in Tier one faced what this guy dealt with all year.
