Wednesday's Game to Watch

Rockford vs. East Kentwood (7 p.m. @ Walker) -- Should be a good matchup between two teams on the brink. Rockford is fast, experienced and extremely skilled, while a youngish Kentwood team relies on solid defense, good goaltending and offensive bursts. Both are coming off tough conferences losses last week and know that a win here is critical if they want any chance at the OK Tier 1 crown. While East Kentwood (3-1-1, 7 points in league play) has some breathing room, Rockford (2-3, 4 points) needs a win here tonight to stay in the mix. Standings aside, there's the pride issue. The Rockford faithful believe the Rams should have beaten Kentwood in their previous meeting, a 2-1 victory for the Falcons in the opening round of their Thanksgiving Tournament. Should be a good one.
