Another neighborhood rivalry game that lives up to the hype. Centre Ice was packed with some 2,000 people, the student sections were roaring and the players were flying, according to our sources. Scoreless first period, then TC Central got on the board with a blast from the blueline by junior Eric Swy. West got the equalizer when David Hanrahan snuck one by Central goalie Hunter Kelly just before the net became dislodged. when Then, with about 2:30 left, a funny bounce in the neutral zone turned into a breakaway goal for Central's Shane Darrow. West put on a final flurry to try and tie it. "We had four or five Grade A chances with our goalie out, but we just couldn't put the puck in the net," TC West Coach Jeremy Rintala. Final shots were 23-17 in favor of West.
