Wednesday Night Hockey

TC Central vs. TC West (7:30 p.m. @ Howe Arena) -- There are lots of rivalry games in early January, but tonight's battle up in Traverse City may be the most competitive of all. The Trojans and Titans are both ranked in the top 10 statewide in their respective divisions and both have something to prove after being shut out -- and blown out -- in losses this past weekend. If my son's team weren't playing tonight, I'd be tempted to make the 2 hour drive to watch this one (and perhaps enjoy a malt beverage at one of TC's fine establishments).
