While it was inadvertantly left off the WMHSH Blog's Hockey Night schedule, the rematch between Muskegon Catholic Central and Cheboygan did happen last night. The MCC Crusaders had played the Cheboygan Chiefs up north in December and won a hard fought battle 4-2. The Chiefs were looking to even the score with a trip to Lakeshore Sports Center in Muskegon Saturday night, but the Crusaders were not very accommodating hosts, scoring early and often. MCC tallied four goals in the first period: Steve Westerburg from Kyle Zeppenfeld and Chris Kendro; Adam Pieczynski from Logan Williamson; and Kendro from Noah VanBergen; and Zeppenfeld unassisted. The lone Chiefs goal in the first came from Dylan Brandt with assists going to Drew Ingram and Keegan Hartman.
The second period started with the Crusaders padding their lead with a goal from Jeff Musselman on an assist from VanBergen. Cheboygan came back with a goal from, assisted by Ingram. The third period resulted in two more MCC tallies: Pieczynski (ten seconds into the period, shorthanded) and VanBergen, both unassisted. This was the 10th consecutive game that Pieczynski has scored for the Crusaders. The Crusaders bettered their season record to 10-5.

It's nice to read a little about the Crusaders hockey team.
