FOX-17 Sports Highlights GRCC

Nice feature piece on the Cougars, courtesy of Fox-17 anchor (and former high school hockey player) Tim Doty. You have to appreciate the time and energy that the FOX folks are taking to not only cover several high school hockey games each week, but also to come out and do features on teams and players. It's just awesome. As a former reporter (and PR guy), I can tell you that news staffs are being asked to do more and more with the same -- or fewer -- resources. With broadcast, in particular, they're usually asked to run around and cover several games in different sports over the course of a few hours. So the next time you see a camera guy from FOX (or a reporter from any other local TV station or newspaper), tell them: "Thanks for coming out. We appreciate that you're taking the time to cover high school hockey."
