Rockford 3 Grandville 1

Looks like Rockford has a leg up on Grandville in the OK-1 race. The Rams got on the board first when Tyler Hall ripped one past Grandville goalie Ryan Wysocki just 3:40 into the game (assist to Andrew Beeg). Grandville tied it at the 6:10 mark when Ian Strayer fired a snipe-shot of his own, beating Rockford's Forrest Andrus to the stick side corner (assists to Andy Grypma and Brad Beilstein). From there, Rockford turned to special teams play. The Rams got a powerplay goal in the second from Shea Mills (assist to Tyler Glass) and one in the third when Beeg slid one through the five hole (assist to Hall). Shots were 24-18 in favor of Rockford.

Thanks to everyone who brought items for the Can drive, it certainly was appreciated. We collected over 300 food and clothing items that will go to help needy families.

As for the comments regarding the student section from Rockford, this is being addressed by the athletic office, who have spoken to several of the students and their parents regarding appropriate behavior.
