Late night post because I'm over on the East side of the state on business 'til late this afternoon. While there are a few West Michigan teams headed this way for Friday games at Cranbrook and Howell, I think I'll put the peddle down and head home for Hockey Night in West Michigan. You'll most likely find me at:
Forest Hills Central vs. Hudsonville (8 p.m. @ Patterson) - Should be interesting to see how H'ville responds after its first loss of the season, a 3-1 thriller against Kenowa Hills on Wednesday. This game, the second in a string of four consecutive league matchups over two weeks, will be critical for the Eagles if they want to stay in the hunt for the OK-2 crown. Forest Hills will be ready: About 10 of the players were at the Wednesday game, scouting Hudsonville. When I asked one of the Ranger players what he thought it would take to beat Hudsonville, he didn't miss a beat: "We need to score one more than them." Evidently, this kid has been coached.
